Rituparna Choudhury hails from North Guwahati, Assam in India and is currently a Faculty in the School of Social Sciences, Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam. She is a graduate from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a postgraduate in Sociology from Tezpur University. She has also been the recipient of Zubaan-Sasakawa Peace Foundation Grants for Young Researchers from the Northeast 2018, along with Prerana Choudhury. Her areas of research interest include Northeast Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Sociology of Development, Sociology of Science etc.
